ANOTHER CHERRY HILL LUNCHEON
Historical Luncheon and Ice Cream Social
Cherry Hill is having another wonderful luncheon which will take place on July 18, 2009 at 10:30 am, and this luncheon will have a historical, picnic theme. Famous local historian Mr.Vernon Peeples known from his PBS interviews plus his numerous personal appearances and historical talks), will be presenting an exclusive presentation of local history, which may include southwest Florida counties, railroads, ranching, fishing plus he will discuss several important local people too. Mr. Peeples welcomes your questions on local history too.
After the exclusive presentation we will have a fun scavenger hunt in Cherry Hill for antiques, a free organic hot and cold coffee and tea tasting bar (presented by Good Life In Arcadia - click here), sampling of gourmet jellies and sauces, gift bags, door prizes, decorating ideas, and who knows what else.
Lastly we will have a delicious picnic type lunch (perfect for the hot weather) with a very special dessert of home made Ice Cream topped off with homemade Chocolate Chip cookies. Don’t worry, you won’t have to sit on the floor like at a regular picnic) we will have tables set in a Red, White and Blue historical theme. Be sure you look up when you enter the store. there is usually as much hanging from the ceiling as on the floor, which includes decorated ladders, porch swings, screen doors, windows, and old signs. Customers are heard commenting on the "High Comfort Level" and how "Visually Stimulating" the store is, with the decorating, lightly scented potpourri, and swing music playing.

Sorry we are not appraisers. If you would like an appraisal, look in the phone book or on the internet for a qualified appraiser. make sure you find an appraiser that is trained in the area you want appraised, (furniture, glassware, art, etc).
Hours of Operation
Our normal hours at Cherry Hill Antiques is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sautrday 11:00 - 4:00 or by chance or appointment. We try to stick to these hours as close as possible but the antiques business is a completly different kind of business. We can't order our merchandise from a catalog so sometimes due to auctions, estate sales or house calls we may be a little late or have to close early. It is best to call if you plan on traveling a distance to visit antique stores. Most stores in Arcadia are open Wednesday, Thursday, Fridays, and Saturdays, almost none on Mondays, and a few on Sundays and Tuesdays. Can't wait to see you all.

Arcadia Florida is a beautiful drive from anywere in Florida, and is located at the "Crossroads of Florida", where Highway 17, 70, 72 meet. We are 45 minutes from Bradenton, Sarasota, Fort Myers, 35 minutes from Port Charlotte, 1 1/2 hours from Orlando, Naples, and Tampa, 1 hour from Fort Myers Beach, Siesta Key, Longboat Key, Boca Grand, Venice, Anna Maria Island, 3 hours from Miami, and about 2 1/2 hours from Fort Lauderdale.
